Benjamin
Wilson is the Conservator and Property
Manager for the Antiquarian & Landmarks Society.
Benjamin supervises, directs, and contributes
to the restoration of A&L’s landmark
properties. His core interests include whole house
restoration of 18th and 19th century private and
public historic buildings, architectural evolution
of New England, antique tools, wooden boat restoration,
and the craftsmanship surrounding the construction
of period furniture and decorative arts. Prior
to A&L Society Benjamin worked as Principal
of Benjamin Wilson Restoration, Charleston, SC,
managing the restoration and conservation of historic
structures. He graduated from York University,
York, England, Institute of Advanced Architecture
Studies with M.A. in Building Conservation; North
Bennet Street School, Boston, MA; Syracuse University,
Syracuse, NY.
