Joyce
Jonas is an appraiser, copyright and
patent researcher and historian with her own business,
Joyce Jonas & Associates, in New York City.
She is also the president emeritus of the American
Society of Jewelry Historians and is a columnist
for InStore magazine.
Ms. Jonas has served as an adjunct professor
of art for 15 years at the New York University
School of Continuing and Professional Studies.
She is also an instructor of Sotheby's American
arts course and a lecturer for Sotheby's Institute.
Ms. Jonas also organizes and lectures at the Jewelers
of America Estate Jewelry Seminars.
Ms. Jonas is the director of the Annual Antique
and Period Jewelry and Gemstone Conference, which
will be celebrating its 25th anniversary in 2004.
She is also a member of the jewelry vetting committees
of the New York Winter Antiques Show and the Palm
Beach Antiques Show.
